Summer Season Begins For Broome County Parks

Saturday, May 24, 2008 marks the beginning of the 2008 summer season for the Broome County Parks and Recreation Department. All County Parks will be open, and free of charge, from 8:00 AM to Dark daily through Labor Day, September 1, 2008. Swimming, boating, picnicking, hiking and snack bars are available at Greenwood, Dorchester and Nathaniel Cole Parks. Greenwood Park campground will be open weekends beginning May 9th then will be open daily through Labor Day beginning May 23rd. For information or to make reservations call 607.778.2193.

The Broome County Department of Parks and Recreation will be accepting reservations for camping at Greenwood Park for the 2008 season beginning on Monday, March 3, 2008.- Family camping areas at Greenwood Park will open weekends beginning Friday, May 9, 2008.- After Memorial Day, the campground is open daily.- For further information, or to make a reservation for Greenwood Park, call 607.778.2193.- Reservations will not be accepted at the park.
