Wayne L. Howard (R) represents north central county constituents who reside in the Town of Fenton, and parts of the towns of Barker, Chenango, and Dickinson.
Mr. Howard began serving on the Legislature in 1991, and has previously held the leadership position of Majority Leader from 1997 to 2004. In that capacity, he has worked with his fellow Legislators and the County Executive to seek the best quality of life possible for area residents. Additionally, Wayne and the county legislative team have established a record of performance and financial accountability, as evidenced by the Legislators' actions to reduce property taxes in eleven of the last fourteen years.
Legislator Howard is a member of the Finance Committee, Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee, and the Industrial Development Agency's Board of Directors. Mr. Howard previously served as Chair of the Public Works Committee and was a member of the Economic Development and Planning Committee.
Mr. Howard is employed as Vice-President, Chief Operating Officer, at Louis N. Picciano and Son, Inc.
Wayne and his wife, Faline, live on Old Route 7 in Port Crane. The Howard family includes three adult daughters, two sons-in-law, and three grandchildren.
