Jerry F. Marinich (R) represents nearly all residents who live throughout the Town of Chenango. The town has the fourth largest population of twenty-four municipalities within Broome County.
Legislator Marinich was recently re-elected to his third two-year term. Jerry is a member of the Personnel Committee, Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee, and the Fire Advisory Board. Jerry was previously the Personnel Committee Chair in 2005-2006. His work and experience covers a wide range of departments and services, including Personnel, Civil Service, County Employees, District Attorney, Public Defender, Emergency Services, Sheriff, Probation, Civil Defense, Fire Coordination, Traffic Safety, Security, highways and bridges, flood protection, soil conservation, recycling, and landfill operations
Mr. Marinich has assisted area residents for more than 30 years by working as a professional firefighter and emergency medical responder. His participation in the community has included taking part in youth activities, and helping fellow members of St. Mark's Episcopal Church by participating in outreach programs.
Jerry and his wife, Melody, reside at 40 Clearview Place in the Town of Chenango. The Marinich family includes two sons, one daughter, one daughter-in-law and a grandson.
