Unit Description:
This unit recruits, certifies, trains, and monitors families who are interested in being foster or adoptive parents. They also provide the case planning/case management services to children who have been freed for adoption whose goal is adoption. This unit does the matching of child to foster/adoptive home. Preparing a child for adoption includes helping to grieve the loss of the birth family, and then prepare them to accept a new permanent family.
